Obama's Affection for Islam (Does it play a role in his decisions affecting our national security?)

Given Barack Hussein Obama's decision to bring Islamic terrorists to American soil (also here), and risk having our courts turn them loose to commits acts of terror on America from inside the country, it seems appropriate to remind readers of Obama's Muslim roots and his adoration of Islam.

From an August 07, 2009 YouTube compilation (some quotes are without context, but the words are indeed those of Barack Obama and the meaning is clear):

Obama admits that he is a Muslim. Obama bowing before a Muslim king. Obama talking about his Muslim family. Obama quoting from the Koran. Obama defending Islam. Obama visiting a Mosque. And many more clips of Obama and his Muslim connections.

Little wonder his administration won't make any references to Islamic terrorism and bends over backwards to accommodate the American left's aiding and abetting of radical Islam.

These chilling Jihad maneuvers are taught at a New York compound. And there are many more throughout the U.S.

The video was distributed by the makers of the movie "Homegrown Jihad: The Terrorist Camps Around the U.S.," which documents how a jihadist group has developed dozens of training camps across the nation.

WND reported at the time how Jamaat ul-Fuqra has built 35 compounds - mostly in the northeastern corridor of the U.S.

Now the organization has posted on YouTube a "chilling" training video provided to CAN by an unnamed law enforcement source about the Muslims of America headquarters in Hancock, New York.

David Frum Analzyes Obama's Cairo Speech

As Hugh Hewitt notes, excellent work by David Frum. He's very wrong about Rush, but very right about this speech:

President Obama likes to position himself as an intermediary, explaining two conflicting parties each to the other. He did so in his race speech in Philadelphia, he did so when he spoke about abortion at Notre Dame.

In Cairo, he took a similar position between the United States and the Islamic world. He urged Americans to take a positive view of Islam, and urged Muslims to take a positive view of the United States.

But whereas in Philadelphia and Notre Dame Obama was explaining two groups of Americans to each other, in Cairo he exhibited the amazing spectacle of an American president taking an equidistant position between the country he leads and its detractors and enemies. It is as if he saw himself as a judge in some legal dispute, People of the Islamic World v. United States. But the job to which he was elected was not that of impartial judge, but that of leader and champion of the American nation.

French Turkish author Nedim Gursel facing jail time for 'insulting Islam'

Yet another example of Islamofascism's attack on free speech.

Similar to the case of the Christian couple in Singapore who were convicted for casting Islam in a "negative light" for distributing booklets, Franco-Turkish writer Nedim Gursel is facing trial on charges of "inciting racial and religious hatred" in his "The Daughters of Allah", a novel about the prophet.

Just as in the case of the Christian couple, how can the Franco-Turkish writer possibly "incite racial and religious hatred" in his novel - anymore than the Islamists themselves who by their acts of violence and intolerance to free speech (as exemplified by the charges) and other faiths, are in fact the ones "casting Islam in a negative light" and "inciting racial and religious hatred"?

My message to the Turkish Muslims: It's just a damned novel, people, a damned book of fiction. You need to get over it, and stop being so sensitive about your gosh darned *%$! prophet.

Singapore: Christian couple convicted of sedition for 'criticizing Islam'

According to the AFP, the Christian couple were found guilty of sedition for distributing evangelical publications (to Muslims) that cast Islam in a "negative light."

Go figure! How, pray tell, can any Christian cast Islam in any more "negative light" than the Islamists themselves?

As Robert Spencer notes at Jihad Watch, apparently, It's a crime in Singapore to "cast Islam in a negative light," and yet once again those who commit this crime are not violent Islamic jihadists, but those who speak about the actions or motivations of those jihadists (who are in fact the ones casting Islam in a "negative light").

So much for all of Obama's embracing the Muslim world, funding Hamas, and arming Hezbollah:

Calling this a Poor timing alert is an understatement, as the attack came at the same time Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Democratic Senator John Kerry were discussing the Obama administration's push for peace with the Palestinian Authority.

It takes both sides to reach a peace agreement, and the vast majority of Palestinians are not willing to live side by side with Israel - something Obama and his leftist advisors just don't understand. The obstacle to peace between the Palestinians and Israel is the Muslims, not the Jews.

Jews have always been the canaries in the coal mines of civilization, serving as a warning of impending doom to those who believed, as Churchill said, that the crocodile - of tyranny - would eat them last.

As Joan Swirsky suggests at The New Media Journal, with the advent of the Obama administration, Israeli canaries are chirping loudly, warning the entire world, particularly America but also Europe, that if Israel is sacrificed to Obama's far-left anti-Israel and anti-American agenda, then freedom-loving, God-fearing countries around the world will be suffocated and sacrificed to a new American caliphate - to the harsh and inflexible rule of Islamic theology, philosophy and law. The question for all of us is are we willing to just lay back and let all of this happen by staying silent.

- At the same AIPAC meeting Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel reportedly told donors that America's ability to face Iran depended on Israel's ability to make progress with the Palestinians, once again echoing the tired Leftist canard that all conflicts in the Middle East are the result not of the jihadist mentality, but rather the failure of Israel to accept their virulently anti-Semitic propaganda (in the media and in schools), non-stop homicide bombings, and relentless rocket attacks..
- In numerous Obama-sanctioned public statements, his henchmen have, in the common vernacular, put the screws to Israel, among them Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who threatened: "For Israel to get the kind of strong support it's looking for vis-a-vis Iran, it can't stay on the sideline with respect to the Palestinians and the peace efforts ... they go hand in hand," and National Security Adviser Gen. James Jones who recently told a European foreign minister that the U.S. is planning to build an anti-Israel coalition with the Arabs and Europe to compel Israel to surrender Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem to the Palestinians.
- Obama let it be known that his plan for a "two-state solution" was perfectly in-sync with the wipe-Israel-off-the-map crowd, including terrorist-sponsoring Syria and Saudi Arabia, among others. And what sweet nothings do you suppose Obama whispered into the ears of Iran's Ahmadinejad that just prompted the sudden release from jail of the Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi?
- And let's not forget that Obama's first phone call to a head of state was to Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of the Fatah party in the Palestinian territory, and who also wrote his doctoral thesis denying the Holocaust. Did I mention Abbas' loyal second-in-command fealty to "the father of terrorism," Yasir Arafat?
- Or that Obama gave his first TV interview to Al Arabia television.
- Or that Obama summarily dismissed all charges against the Muslim murderers of 17 American sailors on the USS Cole in Yemen in 2001.
- Or that Obama, according to David Patten at Newsmax.com, "is preparing to reinstate a fraud-riddled immigration program that has brought over 36,000 Somalis into the United States under questionable circumstances."
- Or that Obama bowed so repugnantly on his recent European trip to the Saudi Arabian potentate.
This "genocidal hostility toward Israel," as writer Mona Charen describes it, is Obama & Co.'s way of insuring that they succeed where former administrations have failed in bringing about the ever-elusive "two-state" solution - a "solution" Leftists like Obama have cravenly tried to delude much of the world into believing will magically resolve the world's other conflicts.

Spain: "Rebirth and Union", Islamic party founded

In only four sheets they explain why they believe it's necessary this kind of party in Spain. Its founder insists he is a moderate and insists that he supports the Constitution and is Spanish national.

Rebirth and Union is a party for Muslims but also for ethnic minorities and immigrants: "Brother, sister, go one with the rebirth and the liberation, the consideration of what your situation is and meditate about it. You have to trust in yourself first and afterwards in your party to make your voice heard in the higher places. (...) The moment has come, Spanish Muslim, Arab, African immigrant and non-immigrant to free yourself from humiliation" (hein??? What class of humiliation does he think the immigrants suffer in Spain? Is he advocating for open borders? What is he referring to then?).

The central offices are in Granada, and others will be opened in all Spain to take part in the 2011's local elections "I'm sure that in a non-very distant future, not more than 30 years, one of our sons will be Mayor, Minister or even President of the Nation".

What is worrying from my point of view, is that they haven't stated clearly their goals. There is a vague mention of a document "with several sheets" but no actual mention of what they really want, what their plans are.

After Dutch MP, Geert Wilders was declared "persona non grata" and deported from UK because his presence was threatening community harmony, I found that Times On Line had published back in March 2006, an article in which it was reported that British PM, Gordon Brown had:

given Muslim leaders private assurances that he wants to create a "level playing field" in the economy, so that more and more "sharia compliant" financial products can be offered to British Muslims.

so as to:

help make London the natural home for Islamic funds from around the world, and increase the inflow of investment from oil-rich Middle Eastern countries.

Of course, the present economic crisis has only deepened the problem, with the US also wanting to participate in this new financial market:

as American financial institutions report the losses that forced them to deplete their cash reserves, CEOs are begging for loans from oil-rich Middle East nations that have benefited from the rise in oil prices in recent years from $30 to nearly $100 per barrel. As one former Wall Street executive lamented, U.S. business leaders are "lining up to kiss the ring.".

This would threaten free business if they are in conflict with Sharia Law. As Melanie Phillips puts it:

Acceptance of Sharia finance furthers the Islamist objective of gradually legitimising Islamic Sharia Law more generally in the west (...). The most important point to grasp is that Islam recognises no authority superior to sharia.

Spain: alleged Al-Qaeda financier belongs to Socialist Party's Executive Board

In the last Garzon's judicial operation (jan 20th) against alleged Al-Qaeda collaborators, a Pakistani named Abdul Razzaq Sadiq was detained. It has been discovered he is Executive Secretary's of the Catalan Socialist Party (the branch of Zapatero's party in Catalonia) in the Catalonian city Ciutat Vella. Interior Ministry's press release published his surnames changed, so no one could guess who he really was. In all police's documents, his surnames were in right order, so the change was made only afterwards in the Interior Ministry's press release.

Three days after, they were freed by a Garz's resolution, which said that he didn't have proofs which could link them with the terrorist group's financing scheme. But they had been accused of sending illegally money to Pakistan.

Ali Larijani visits Spain

Ali Larijani, President of the Iranian Parliament, is visiting Spain. The visit has been silenced by the media, till such a point that I have known about it because I read, in an Argentinian blog, the official statement issued by the Israeli embassy in Spain pointing their objections to the visit.
The official statement is translated in its entirety in the link provided.

But one of them instantly called my attention: the Israeli Embassy pointed out that "according to the last statistics published by Spanish Foreign Business Office, the volumen of weapons, sales and double use equipments from Spain to Iran has been growing significantly and is now 30 times bigger than the sales of Spain to Israel".

According to Spanish statistics, the volume of weapons and double use materials' sales from Spain to Israel have also grown during Zapatero's terms in office. From something more than 441.000 euros, they have plummeted to more than 1.500.000 euros, only in the 1st semester of 2008.

During the visit he has already met Javier Solana and today he is meeting Zapatero.
A reflection: if this happens after preaching Zapatero he was a "pacifist", what would have happened if he was a "warmonger"?

Spain: No.1 in the ranking of recruitement places for Al-Qaeda in Europe

Five years after March 11th, which made Spain a target of the Islamist terror, Interior Minister has stated that Spain is now a source of Human Resources for future terrorists"..."situated in the 1st place in the ranking of their preferred recruitement's places for Al-Qaeda's recruitment in Europe, and, at the same time, it continues to be a target of international terrorism.

Since March 11th, State Security Forces have detained 384 alleged Islamist terrorists.

Some of the them had the objective of recruiting, teaching, training and sending mujahidins to Irak. Others only did apology of terrorism or defense and proud display of extremist ideas, according to the counterterrorist sources of the National Police, or they just financed Jihad by sending money from Spain, for example, using the zakat or alms obtained thank to mosques.

Not only Al-Qaeda has menaced Spain, even if 20 minutos (leftist) forgets to tell it. Hamas has repeatedly also menaced Europe in general and Spain in particular. Palestinians organizations (including Hamas, but not only) have also menaced Europe with the Muslim minority living here, specially after Israeli Operation Cast Lead.

Anyway, Jihadi menace has been growing for Spain since March 11th, a good proof that appeasement (and important quantities of State money given away to Islamic organizations in the name of State's religious neutrality) does not produce any results in counter-terrorism and something President Obama should take good note of.
