Megyn Kelly rips CBC columnist Heather Mallick for comparing Palin to "white trash," porn stars (vIDEO)
If you haven't seen this yet, please do watch it. Clearly, journalists are over-the-top in hate for Sarah Palin. These people are disgustingly way far left: Here's Mallick's column. Democrats Thwarted Iraq Oil To U.S. Companies (Updated)
All in the name of hypocrisy and the typical environmental BS we always hear from the Democrats: Why Iraq Is Doing Business With China:The announcement last month that the government of Iraq had inked a deal with the China National Petroleum Corporation to develop oil fields in Southern Iraq sparked criticism of US policy to allow this to take place. Democrats were quick to jump on the Bush Administration for allowing Iraq to sell their oil to China, while the United States is still engaged in helping the Iraqi government establish a democratic state. The same Democrats who were once... ... morePosted at 12:30 PM | Comments (0) | TrackBack

Zapatero in Turkey
While Erdogan has called on international community to consider "islamophobia" a crime against humanity, Zapatero has reached even higher standards of smiling dhimmitude: Rodríguez Zapatero, a so committed laicist that he provoked uneasiness in the Vatican when he refused to attend the Pope's Mass in Valencia in July 2007, thanked Erdogan because of his "hospitality" and stated before nearly 2.500 people attending the banquet his will to enjoy of the celebration not as a "foreigner, but with the attitude of someone who is President of Spain, a country which is proud of the influence of Islam in our history and... ... morePosted at 8:33 AM | Comments (0) | TrackBack

Why Did Obama Vacation To Hawaii - And Especially, Why Now? (Update: Is the mystery about to be solved?)
I share this poster's interest. Apparently others do also. Has the messiah been hiding his Indonesian identity and citizenship? TexasDarlin believes so as she notes in her 8/10/08 10:20 AM ET Update: Barry Soetoro's Birth Certificate in Republican Hands:For those who have not followed this story, Soetoro is the name on Obama's Birth Certificate (BC) because a new BC was issued when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, his step-father. The Very Best Ad For John McCain - Ever!
... and to my knowledge, the McCain camp didn't have anything to do with it (and if they did, they did a fantastic job). The audio clips of the Obamas in this video - their own words, are stunning; the video itself vividly demonstrates the profound differences between the two candidates for president. "Don't Tread On Me, Obama," by Miradena. Watch, and enjoy, every second of it. From the narrative at YouTube:The contrast between our two Presidential candidates is staggering. CEO Of Democratic National Convention Is A Marxist
The head of the DNC's religious outreach, Leah Daughtry who, in addition to believing that God finds abortion acceptable, is a believer in the same Marxist "Black Liberation Theology" preached by Reverend Wright. As if that's not bad enough, this Marxist is also the CEO of the Democratic National Convention! As Henry Lamb wrote in his October 8, 2007 Canada Free Press article entitled, "Are the Communists Coming?" : [...] "It is getting increasingly difficult to distinguish between the agenda of the Democratic party, and the agenda of the Communist Party. It May (or may not) Have Been Meant To Be Satire .....
However, you have to admit ....; ... there's an extraordinary ring of truth to it, is there not? Think of the Obamas in the Oval Office, away from the public, cutting loose for the first time since the election, laughing together, and revealing their true selves. So is it satire or insight? Like I said, I don't see a problem here - except, of course, that it's a typical Muslim reaction to a cartoon. As a commenter wrote at Lucianne.com: "Michelle as "Professor" Angela Davis? Barack Hussein as Bobby Seale? The problem? And then there are these interesting tidbits about... ... morePosted at 10:26 AM

The Dearth Of White Looters In Iowa Vs. The Opposite Effect After Katrina
Mike S. Utah company causes nationwide uproar over 'Sock Obama' toy
Obama supporters are all in a frenzy over a toy being sold over the internet by a Utah couple. The toy is a sock monkey wearing a suit with a lapel pin for Obama. Obamamaniacs have been filling online forums and blogs with angry words over what they see as the "degrading depiction of a black man as a monkey." Obama Being Obama On Attempting To Insure Jewish Voters
In yet another striking difference between McCain and Obama, BHO attempts to ensure Jewish voters that he's Israel friendly by mentioning that his outlook has been informed by several Jewish thinkers - naming Philip Roth as an example. In other words, when confronted with a policy issue, Obama falls back on the "empty suit" approach - all talk and no substance. Obama Picks Up Critical Castro Endorsement
Great news for Obamaphiles everywhere: ""Obama picked up a highly coveted (as can only be appreciated by far left socialists and Marxists like Obama) endorsement earlier today when Fidel Castro called Obama "the most-advanced candidate" in the presidential race. Admittedly, "most advanced" sounds an awful lot like some of that elitist talk, but Castro's endorsement will surely dazzle them in Hollywood."" Media Continue To Ignore B. Hussein Obama's Troubling Communist Ties
As Wes Vernon notes at Renew America, Barack Obama burst upon the scene from out of nowhere only in recent months. Two or three years ago, he was an unknown outside his Chicago bailiwick and in some other Illinois quarters. Even his time in the Illinois State Senate was unremarkable. He doesn't have any." Scott at Powerline points to Barry Rubin's piece at the GLORIA Center in Herzliya, an unusually despairing column about the fall of Lebanon, and then offers a summary that hastens us to the heart of Rubin's column - a critique of Barack Obama's reassuring assessment of the minimal threat presented... ... morePosted at 12:55 PM

Written back on April 2nd by Anthony B. After reading a piece at Free Republic titled, "What I would do if I wanted to defeat America," I couldn't help but agree with many of the points and that virtually all of them are talking points of the Democrats (surely the intended point of the author). Talking about numerous proposals that the Dems intend to be voted on by one or both chambers that would rescind congressional authorization for the Iraq invasion, ban permanent bases in Iraq, cut funding for combat and restrict the length of combat tours, Nancy Pelosi says, "We have many arrows in our quiver, and we are sharpening them."... ... morePosted at 3:03 PM

The Fairness Doctrine Plays Phoenix As Inhofe Says Clinton And Boxer Want 'Legislative Fix' To Silence Conservative Radio Talk Shows
(Cross posted from Hyscience),/font> Like the mythical bird that dies in flames and is reborn from the ashes, we are again hearing rumblings from the left over The Fairness Doctrine, courtesy of Rep. Dennis "the nutcase menace" Kuccinich and other liberal-progressive socialists of the left. The real problem for the left lies in the fact that there are very few markets for leftwing talk show outside of the far left Seattle market, and leftwing talk show just doesn't "fly" in a free market. Does The Media Fear Fred Thompson?
Melanie Morgan provides evidence that the media's criticisms of Fred Thompson echo the same hollow arguments they used against Ronald Reagan 25 years ago. She says that unlike the current crop of declared Republican and Democrat candidates, who have spent years plotting and scheming about how they could win their way to the White House, Fred Thompson is truly being drafted to run by people who are sick of abandoned principles and lack of a moral center. When moments like this occur, occupants of the political and media establishment seem to shudder with convulsions. It ain't pretty, but it isn't... ... morePosted at 10:02 PM

In my previous post I featured commentary addressing how Democrats have a long and rich history of identifying "victim classes" within society, and how they then appeal to these victims and promise them vast amounts of money if they vote Democrat and agree to maintain their victim and sub-standard class status, all of which is helping to convert our system of government from one based on the Constitution and free enterprise to a Socialist Marxist government that fits in with the agenda of liberal-social-progressives like Democrats Clinton, Obama, and Edwards. 'Republicans: The 81-percent Exodus'
(Image source: WorldNetDaily) Good job, Mr. President: ... In the wake of Friday's report about the Republican revolt over immigration, a companion WorldNetDaily poll shows some noteworthy results. As of Saturday morning (02 Jun 2007), 24 hours after the news broke, an eye-opening 81 percent of Republicans considered themselves part of the "revolt." Of those, more than a third favor the "creation" of another political party. (That's 38 percent of the 81 percent.) So Much For 'Ending The Culture Of Corruption' - Part 2
In our previous post today on the culture of corruption in the now Democratically-controlled Congress, we posted on a CNN investigation into how Congress spends taxpayer money, and noted that it did so, "quickly, secretly and by the truckload. Here, CNN looks at more Congressional Democrats and earmarks, concluding: "The democrats promised reform. It's not happening." John "our troops raped and murdered innocent civilians" Murtha, who quietly slipped two earmarks costing taxpayers $5.5 million into the Intelligence authorization bill . So much for the "America becoming a pariah on the world stage" view of the liberal elite (hat tip - Wizbang): Amazing, isn't it, how the conventional wisdom that holds sway among many sophisticated -- i.e. liberal -- Washingtonians and New Yorkers is often so completely divorced from reality. Readers will recall that a tanker exploded on a freeway overpass in the Oakland/Emeryville area in CA on Sunday, April 29th around 4am. The deck collapsed and burned. It was a connecting ramp between I-80 and I-580. This is what 8,600 gallons (which weighs 80,000 pounds) of unleaded gasoline does when it burns. Reports state that the fireball started on the lower deck, and the rising heat of the 3000+ degree fire melted parts of the deck above, causing it to collapse.Although I've previously watched the video of John Gibson destroying "Leftist Loon" Rosie O'Donnell's 9/11 Conspiracy theory about fire... ... morePosted at 9:45 PM

Top Nine Reasons A Democratic President Can't Handle the War on Terrorism
John Hawkins (hat tip - Wizbang) has nine solid reasons a Democratic President can't handle the war on terrorism. 1) The Democratic insistence on treating the war on terrorism as a law enforcement issue will make it extremely difficult to deal with terrorist groups. When you have heavily armed terrorists ensconced in foreign nations, sometimes with the approval of their government, it's simply not practical to capture them, read them their rights, and take them back to America for trial. There is no reason and no will to keep fighting the war in Iraq. So, if America embarks down the Democrats' proposed road of retreat and total defeat in Iraq, where does it lead? Jules Crittenden offers a view to the possible future: ..... a dark age, in which brutal second-rate powers such as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea do what they choose to whom they choose without restraint.... ... morePosted at 8:22 AM

Finally an explanation for the 2006 election
Guido at Hyscience has a post and link addressing the electorate's willingness to hand control of congress to the party of defeatists:Considering the persistent and imminent threat from an assortment of anti-American forces many of us were surprised that the American electorate was willing to throw in the towel and hand control of both congress and the senate to the party which is known for its losing attitude. But now Arnold Kling at TCS Daily has provided us with a rational explanation: voters are largely irrational.I find myself in total agreement with Kling's key points - the great mass of... ... morePosted at 10:29 PM

Obama - The 'Man From Nowhere' - Brings Nothing New
Peggy Noonan, writing at Opinion Journal, expands on our previous posts about Sen. Obama, saying that he spent his short lifetime breathing in the common liberal/leftist wisdom, which he exhales at length. ... This is not something new--it's something old in a new package. And it is something that wins you what he has, a series of 100% ratings from left-liberal interest groups. [...] what does he believe? From reading his book, I would say he believes in his destiny. He believes in his charisma. He has the confidence of the anointed. He has faith in the magic of the... ... morePosted at 10:06 AM
Gay Unions OKay In New Jersey
Via My Way News, we find that in response to pressure from New Jersey's highest court to offer marriage or its equivalent to gay couples, the Legislature voted Thursday to make New Jersey the third state to allow civil unions.Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine said he would sign the measure, which would extend to same-sex couples all the rights and privileges available under state law to married people. The bill passed the Assembly 56-19 and the Senate 23-12. In its 4-3 ruling, the court left it up to the Legislature to decide whether to call such unions "marriages" or something else."Love... ... morePosted at 8:21 AM | Comments (3)

GOP Working Fast And Furiously For Permanent Minority Status
... as evidenced by their doing business as usual. As Mark Tapscott puts it, both the Senate GOP and the House GOP have opted for familiarity and continuity instead of radical change in the wake of last Tuesday's massive election defeat. The GOP appears to be under the delusion that the election was all about Iraq - it wasn't. The GOP lost because conservatives lost confidence in the GOP and its leadership, and stayed home instead of bothering to vote. Yes, the center went left to state a message, and they along with the rest of the nation will... ... morePosted at 11:46 AM

Murtha vs. Hoyer: Sit Back And Enjoy The Theater
Jules Crittenden notes at his new blog that as we wait to see where power will reside in Washington, how it will be exercised, what vision will emerge, and whether it has a prayer of succeeding, we can only pray our leaders summon up the will to push forward a robust plan to destroy the militias and stabilize Iraq. Crittenden aptly points out that it just may be that the best we can hope for is a bloody holding action at the White House and, along the 2008 election track, a Democratic leadership train wreck. In the meantime, the rest... ... morePosted at 6:53 AM

Gop Thumpin' As Seen From The Middle East
Amir Taheri at the JP: "It may take months before the full impact of the mid-term elections on American foreign policy may be gauged. However, one thing is already certain: radical elements throughout the Middle East see the defeat of President George W Bush's Republican Party as a victory for themselves.." Unquestionably, the Islamist believe that the American voters have handed them a great victory. Way to go, America! Now, we can only hope that in spite of the Democrats' promise to cut-and-run in order to win the election, once in power, "they might realize to their horror that -... ... morePosted at 9:15 PM
Democrats Plan to Block Warrantless Wiretap Bill!
Far Left Islamo-apologist and friend of terrorists - Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI), wrote yesterday at the Huffington Post that democrats will go move forward on blocking terrorist surveillance methods: There are a lot of bad bills that the Republicans may try to ram through, but here's the worst of the worst - a bill to legalize the President's warrantless wiretapping program. The White House is desperate to enact this bill, which allows the government to spy on American citizens, on American soil, without a warrant. If we want to show people that we have what it takes to govern, we... ... morePosted at 7:34 AM

Yesterday was a sad day for America! A day which alongside December 7th 1941 will live in "infamy" in the annals of American history. A day which marks the beginning of the decline of our once great nation as assuredly as the Roman's effeminate, hedonistic, refusal to fight off the barbarian hordes ushered the fall of Rome! I couldn't help but notice how our friends on the Left fail to see the tremendous threat of radical Islam to the West and the importance of the War on Terror to the survival of western civilization (collectively, the 800 pound gorilla), yet find cause célèbre for playing the race card where none exist. Vietnam War Myths
By word of mouth repetition, by slovenliness about checking facts, by fitting in with ideological propensities, erroneous "facts" may in time become furniture of the mind. Such are that Hitler was elected democratically (he lost both elections in which he ran and "was appointed Chancellor"), or that Stalin killed 20 million (he killed about 43 million). One such erroneous fact is that the Vietnam War was a Civil War. This idea was very much promoted by the "anti-war" crowd and the Vietnam propagandists, for if true it meant the United States had no business interfering in an internal Vietnamese conflict,... ... morePosted at 5:29 PM | Comments (2)

The Dance Of The Left--Hate America, Love Her Enemies
One of the curious aspects of the left's adulation of socialist and Marxist dictators, such as Castro and Hugo Chavez, is that the liberal left was once dedicated to freedom and human rights, but those they now applaud hardly show by word or deed that they share these beliefs. The critical op-ed of this by Ian Buruma, "Thank you, my foolish friends in the West", is interesting to read, since he is no conservative. He provides examples of the left's ideological collapse, and provides the key explanation that I want to underline. It is that the left has become so... ... morePosted at 10:24 PM

But, we also have other values. Truth and beauty. Justice. Love. And these values may be totally lost in the peace of the slave, the captive, the oppressed. A New Friendship Between Lybia and the West
Tonight President Bush delivered a ho-hum speech on the issue of illegal immigration. While this remains the issue du jour, I have personally tired of it. For me, the most interesting and pleasing news of the day was that the US and Britain have reached a peaceful agreement with Lybia, a country that has long harbored and supported terrorism. The result, Mr. Bush and Blair said, was that Libya agreed to disclose all its weapons of mass destruction and related programs and to open the North African country to international weapons inspectors to oversee their elimination. A new dictatorship is looming on the horizon. For those who live outside Italy surely this doesn't seem possible and my assumption may be regarded as exaggerated. But we have already witnessed this past week the first signs of it, both in Parliament and in the streets of Rome and Milan. After appointing the leader of Rifondazione Comunista Fausto Bertinotti speaker of the Lower chamber, and Franco Marini, a former unionist, speaker of the Senate, we are now waiting for the final blow which will tear the country apart: the election of former communist, now party chair of the Democratici... ... morePosted at 8:42 PM

What Do Americans Think Of The Democratic Peace?
The isolationists libertarian website LewRockwell.com has reported on an important survey, "Public Skeptical About Bush's Democracy Crusade" (here). Colleague comments on it below: Regarding the survey on promoting democracy, one interesting finding was the fairly straightforward view (point 1) that most Americans don't favor "promoting democracy with military force" -- of course not! Americans are so imbued with the democratic culture of bargaining, negotiating, and compromise, that reverting to the use of force for almost any purpose except clear self-defense is anathema. This meshes with the view that going to war wasn't a good enough reason to do the Iraq... ... morePosted at 10:37 PM
