Hamas Terrorists Admit To Being Trained In Iran By Revelutionary Guard (Updated)

What amazes me is that this is only just now coming to light: Hamas wages Iran's proxy war on Israel - Hamas leader admits hundreds of his fighters have travelled to Tehran. Perhaps it is more appropriate to say that I'm surprised that it's taken this long for the media to put it out in print. Surely Western intelligence agencies had to have known this for some time - well before Hamas's victory in the Palestinian elections back in January 2006. Iran hasn't ever even tried to hide its financial assistance to Hamas, and it can be argued that Iran... ... more

Palestinians Celebrating Mass Murder

Via Charles at LGF, Palestinians in Gaza and Ramallah and "refugee camps" in Lebanon are partying and celebrating the brutal mass murder of seminary students in Jerusalem. From his site, you can click over to a slideshow of photos from the atrocity, showing - as Charles notes, "exactly what these inhuman monsters are celebrating" Mindless inhuman monsters, indeed. A sick culture of animals. Little wonder that their society is completely unfunctional, incapable of supporting themselves or producing goods and services adequate for nationhood, and incapable of exporting anything except hate and violence. How did I miss this the other day? Did the 'Palestinian' Islamists actually finally admit that their real intention is genocide, and Israel's actions are not the issue? Hamas TV's child star says she's ready for martyrdom

Remember Saraa and Farfur? Here they are teaching Palestinian children the ABCs of terror on Hamas' official television station, Al-Aqsa TV. They also taught children about Islamic rule and Islam being the basis of all civilization: Now Saraa says she'd like to be a doctor. On the other hand, she'd like to be a martyr! Interesting choices: kill yourself and innocent people along with you, or heal people. The fact that she can even think this way speaks volumes about the sick culture that is the Islam of Hamas and groups like them. Cross posted from Hyscience... ... more

Explosive Sheep Found In 'Moderate' West Bank

As we learn that "most" gunmen with ties to President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement have given up their weapons as part of an amnesty deal that seeks to improve ties between Israel and Abbas's moderate Palestinian leadership in the West Bank, here's some news that should serve to temper the rush to suggest that the West Bank Palestinians are "moderate": Explosive device hidden in dead sheep - IDF arrests Palestinian who planned to carry out terror attack in West Bank settlement. Nahoul the Bee Replaces Farfour - The Hamas Mickey Mouse: Vows to Continue His Path of Martyrdom and Jihad

From Hamas, yet again comes more jihadist rhetoric and hatred of the evil Jooooooz...; this time served up in the form of a Bee with a squeaky voice, replacing Mickey Mouse look-alike, Farfour, who died in the last episode - beaten to death by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, Farfour called the Israeli a "terrorist": Here's some excerpts from MEMRI: Saraa, child host: Who are you, and where did you come from? Nahoul the Bee: I am Nahoul. Saraa: Nahoul who? Nahoul: I'm Nahoul, Farfour's cousin. Saraa: What do you... ... more

'Iran, Qatar Supported Hamas During Gaza 'Coup''

The JP reports that former Fatah security chief Muhammed Dahlan accuses Iran and Qatar of providing Hamas with hundreds of millions of dollars:[...] "I was not surprised by the coup in the Gaza Strip," Dahlan said. "I knew about Hamas's plans and I told different parties about this so we could try to thwart them." Asked why the numerically superior Fatah-controlled PA security forces were rapidly defeated by Hamas, Dahlan said: "The Palestinian security establishment was never prepared for internal fighting. Lebanon Links Islamists To Attack On UN Forces: The Real War Is Only Begining

Information Minister Ghazi Aridi points to Islamists being behind the bomb attack on Monday that killed six UN peacekeepers in the south of the country, based on confessions extracted from Fatah al-Islam gunmen captured during ighting at a Palestinian refugee camp which is now in its sixth week: "There is a link between the attack which targeted the Spanish contingent of UNIFIL and the combat between the Lebanese army and the terrorists of Fatah al-Islam in Nahr al-Bared," he told reporters after a cabinet meeting. US-based IntelCenter said the video, running one minute, 42 seconds, was put out by the group Jaish al-Islam (The Army of Islam). The Army of Islam is demanding the release of Abu Qatada, a Palestinian-born cleric once labelled Al-Qaeda's spiritual leader in Europe, who is being held in Britain. Lebanon blast kills UN (Spanish) soldiers

Six United Nations peacekeepers have been killed and several others wounded by an explosion in southern Lebanon, security officials say. The blast badly damaged two vehicles transporting Spanish peacekeepers from the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) near the border with Israel. Last news are, that they were killed by a car bomb activated by remote control, and that it is possible there were suicide bombers inside. The Minister of Defense has confirmed it was a "premeditated attack on the troops". Three of the dead are Colombians, 3 Spanish. There are also 2 Spanish badly hurt.... ... more

Good Terrorist Bad Terrorist

(Cross posted from Hyscience) As Jules Crittenden notes (with additional commentary and links), Fatah is looking to Israel for help, and the U.S. and Israel are now offering to make substantial changes in the lives of Palestinians under Fatah in the West Bank - they are the "good" terrorists. Apparently, the U.S. and Israel hope that by helping Fatah, the good terrorists, Hamas - the bad terrorists, will be defeated - leaving only - you guessed it - the good terrorists. The 3-State Solution And The New 'Hamastan'

Hamas' Gaza, Fatah's West Bank, and Israel makes three. (Last minute update: Hamas says it controls Gaza) As bad as things have been, the dynamics in the Middle East are about to radically change to the worse. The two-state solution is no longer a distant pipe dream, its about to convert to a very real nightmare. And as events in Gaza unfold, we need to keep in mind that rarely does anything happen in the Middle East by accident, it's always by design - and in this case it's "design by Iran and Syria." In fact, a senior Fatah official... ... more

Professor Walid Phares is the author of the recently released book, The War of Ideas: Jihadism against Democracies, a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and a visiting scholar at the European Foundation for Democracy. In his fascinating (to those who have been following Syria's virtual control and interference in Lebanon) article at World Defense Review yesterday, he addresses a ""curious "debate"" that he suggests is growing rapidly among a number of Western-based analysts about the "impossibility" of the existence of Syrian Jihadi-Salafist links, and goes so far as to suggest some analysts have gone to... ... more

al-Qaeda And The Palestinians

An editorial today at The New York Sun addresses the turn in events in the fight against Palestinian Sunni extremist groups which involves soldiers loyal to the Lebanese state gathering "in a posse" of sorts trying to apprehend bank robbers who have fled into the relative safety of a refugee camp, and how terrorist groups have slipped into the historically familiar pattern of "alternating ideological and theological violence with banditry." Harsh Words for Iran at Mideast Forum - Evil Jooozzz Less Evil?

Not really, nevertheless there's a couple of recent twists. In what's surely only a temporary diversion, it's good to hear the Arabs direct more of their criticism toward Iran than Israel:Washington's Arab allies harshly criticized Iran's growing influence in the Middle East, telling the country's top diplomat at a high-level conference Saturday that it must stay out of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and be more open about its nuclear ambitions.
