Update on the Mohammed cartoons
Good news from Belarus (though not as good as one would like): just hoping Lukashenko is not chastising the judges for admitting the appeal against the sentence which included a punishment of three years of forced labor. Anyway, Danish cartoonist Kurt Westengaard continues to increase his list of people who want to murder him fans: in Pakistan, last Friday (again) there were people shouting "Death to the cartoonist". By the way, recent riots in Denmark were not caused in the beginning by the cartoons, but by the detention of some drug trafficking thugs in Copenhague. That was they insisted that... ... more

The Chadian Talibans
There has been nearly no news about something which is terrible for Africa and specially for Darfur: the conquest by Saudi and Sudan-backed Jihadis of nearly all Chad in less than a week. Some days ago I wrote about the possibility of Chad being converted into an Islamic state. I was not wrong though it seems that reality could even worse than I thought at first. Throughout nearly 25 years a terrible genocide has happened in Sudan. Both Christians and Animists were killed by Janjaweed, the demons from the North, who caused death and displacement all over the place, without... ... morePosted at 7:26 PM

Opponents Of U.S. Sovereignty Plan To Sneak Agenda Around Congress
Is Red China to monitor non-Chinese shipments within U.S.? Is the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) -- whose U.S. operation conducts its business in secrecy in the bowels of the U.S. Department of Commerce -- plunging ahead with a program that may end America as we know it? Apparently, the answer to both questions is an alarming, yes. The SPP appears to lead ultimately to a North American Union (NAU) or "community." Under that scenario, the borders of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico would be (de facto, if not formally) erased.... ... morePosted at 6:12 AM

Danes Burn Mohammed In Effigy 'For A Mohammed-Free Denmark'
... a new evil has arrived in Europe, an evil that lies and kills in the name of their so-called God. An evil that springs from the so-called Prophet Mohammed. Therefore, in our time, it is he who symbolizes evil and it is not just one harvest that will disappear, but all of Western Europe's future that will vanish if this evil is not dispatched to Hekkenfeldt [i.e. Hell, literally the Hekla volcano in Iceland -- BB]. Therefore will we burn the so-called Prophet Mohammed, on June 23, 2007, in three nameless places.A group in Denmark burned an effigy... ... morePosted at 6:44 PM | Comments (4)

They Stood Tall - The American Way
Happy Memorial Day to all, on this day that we remember all the fallen. This video is to remind us of the true meaning of memorial day: Here's the National Memorial Day Concert - Salute to the Services on PBS, aired live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Sunday, May 27, 2007: I have great difficulty watching videos like these, hearing songs of remembrance for our... ... morePosted at 10:09 AM

'Mind-Altering Worldviews'
Jawa Report points to Pastor Bruce Moon's very timely and important piece addressing "the self-inflicted, anti-survivalist weakness and stupidity that liberalism has inflicted on our country." I'm calling it today's 'must read':Some viral idea has crept into our collective national consciousness, offering us a false wisdom and a feigned hope, while it meanwhile shuts down vital parts of our mental operational systems designed to initiate self-survival programs. TV: Sarkozy Elected French President
According to television projections (via Reuters), conservative Nicolas Sarkozy won France's presidential election, beating his Socialist rival, Segolene Royal, by a comfortable margin. Royal, had borrowed from the playbook of her Islamofascist supporters and warned that if she didn't win there would be violence and brutality unleashed in the country; apparently it didn't work:Forecasts by four pollsters showed Sarkozy, 52, a hardline former interior minister, won around 53 percent of the vote in the second-round ballot and will succeed fellow conservative Jacques Chirac, who was president for 12 years. Bush Administration EEOC Sues Salvation Army
... Over the Salvation Army's "English-only" policy:The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has over the years been broadly hostile to employer policies requiring that employees speak English on the job, viewing such policies as improperly tending to screen out workers of protected national origin. Federal courts haven't always agreed with the agency's views on the question, however; in a 2003 case the Salvation Army, the venerable religious institution, was upheld in its right to fire a worker who'd refused to speak English when asked to do so by her boss. When a little over a year ago all the news outlets, in particular the cable news channels, began their "wall to wall" coverage of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba (which lasted months), I often raised my voice against the idiocy of devoting such an inordinate amount of coverage to what, though tragic, amounted to nothing more nor less than just one more personal, family, tragedy, blown out of all proportion by the media with its over-the-top coverage, into a media event! Thoughts on Cuba
While we all anxiously wait for Fidel to die, I thought I'd supply a few different thoughts about Cuba. Specifically, immigration policy. I recently read "The Case for Democracy" by Natan Sharansky, which outlines one of the hidden reasons why the Soviet Union fell. That reason was an allowance by the Soviet government for Jewish dissidents to emigrate to other countries (such as Israel). The result was that the ensuing mass emigration allowed many to overcome the fear of the government, and, in turn, encouraged dissenting speech which weakened the country. In light of this, consider the case of Cuba.... ... morePosted at 9:17 AM

My assertions about the democratic peace have received appropriate skepticism and many good questions. To review, the democratic peace propositions are that: • Democracies do not make war on each other; • The more democratic two countries, the less likely there will be severe violence between them; • And the more democratic a country: • The less severe its overall foreign violence; • The less its domestic violence; • The less it will murder its people. Emancipation Proclamation On Slavery Today
Having established that a quarter of the world's people are slaves, I wonder what Abraham Lincoln would do about this. I have often stated that those living under absolute dictatorships are enslaved. This may seem to be metaphorical, an exaggeration to make a point. It is not. It is a literal expression of life under these ruling gangs. But, I have not taken the time definitively to establish this, so I will do so now. The common belief is that a slave is one who is not only the property of another, but one who may be bought or sold--traditional chattel slavery. Not necessarily so.
