"... Thrown Back Into The Middle Ages With Weapons Never Seen Nor Used Before."
Excerpt from an article by the Israel News Agency, Jerusalem - June 22, 2008:
Israel is not shaking. Born from the ashes of the Holocaust, Ehud Olmert, the Mossad, the Israel Defense Forces and the people of Israel are more than ready to prevent a second Holocaust. Israel will never be wiped off the map, but if Iran continues to make threats as it prepares nuclear weapons against the Jewish democratic state, it will soon find itself thrown back into the Middle Ages with weapons never seen nor used before.What is Olmert referring to in the phrase, "with weapons never seen nor used before"? Has Israel or the U.S. or Israel and the U.S. developed something "never seen nor used before"?

I have no idea what he means, but it sure fills me with confidence to at least hear talk like this. It sure beats waiting for the death knell to sound...or walking to the showers.

I share Diane's embrace of "talk like this." And come to think of it, her term "walking to the showers" is very applicable, since that's about all the West has been steadily doing ever since it started it's ridiculously non-productive negotiations with Iran - who has absolutely no intention of living up to any promises except the destruction of Israel and the West.
