Bill O'Reilly Blasts Open Borders Supporter Geraldo Rivera
The 'debate' shown in the second video below between O'Reilly and Rivera was over the death of two teenage girls killed by Alfredo Ramos, you guessed it, a "suspected" (sic) drunk-driving illegal alien that shouldn't have been in our country in the first place, much less behind the wheel of a car to slam into the back of a car with two Virginia Beach girls inside, and kill them - a point O'Reilly stressed in his argument. When Ramos made his first appearance in court over the weekend, he had to use an interpreter since he doesn't speak English. O'Reilly has called dingbat liberal Democrat Virginia Beach mayor Meyera Oberndorf and a local judge "the villains" in the case, and also the town of Virginia Beach, an illegal alien sanctuary. In this first video O'Reilly blasts the illegals' sanctuary city policy of Virginia Beach, and you see the moronic mayor spout her clueless dribble that uses human rights as an argument for not enforcing immigration law.
Incredibly, it turns out that Ramos has lived illegally in the United States for seven years. He has a previous arrest record in Virginia Beach and Chesapake including at least one charge of driving under the influence and two for public drunkenness in the past year, but was never deported:
Hear is the "debate" between O'Reilly and the "stuck on PC" Rivera (I still remember this jerk's emotional "the sky is falling and people are dying in the dome" reporting that was, of course, wrong):
O'Reilly is absolutely right on this. Clearly, the Virginia Beach, it's city commissioners, Mayor Oberndorf, and Colon H. Whitehurst, chief judge of the city of Chesapeake, are "the villains" in this case. Immigration law is not only being flagrantly violated, criminal negligence on the part of the city, the mayor, and the judge, resulted in the unnecessary untimely death of two innocent teenage girls. It is bad enough that tragedies such as this occur as a result of legal citizens driving under the influence. To have this happen because law wasn't enforced by those who are responsible for making sure that the law is followed and enforced, is inexcusable. Rivera's (and the mayor's) argument that this is all about drunk driving and has nothing to do with illegal aliens is the same world view used by liberals in the GWOT (Great War On Terror that Democrats want to deny exists) that generalizes the acts of the murderous terrorist Islamothugs as just another criminal act, instead of a war against Western civilization by a state-sponsored radical ideology hell bent on world domination. In both cases, liberals are using a "head in the sand" approach to minimize a problem of major consequences to our culture and civilization. Unfortunately, in the case of the tragic and avoidable deaths of 17-year-old Allison Kuhnhardt and 16-year-old Tessa Tranchant, it wasn't just our culture and civilization that was affected by the condoned invasion of our land by illegal aliens, it was the very lives of two beautiful children.
The family of those two innocent children should be in all of our prayers today. They will certainly be in mine.

I wonder if Mr. Rivera would feel the same, If his name wasn't Rivera?

Millions of illegal aliens are driving on American roads in cars that are unlicesend, not registered, with false identites and false driver licenses because they are adept at the idenity game. Law enforcement rarely charges illegal immigrants when they are pulled over for driving infractions because they simply do not want to hassle with the paperwork or "interfere" with the local politics protecting illegals because a cheap source of labor is provided to the community.Since many immigrants feel they do not have to answer to the local driving regulations they tend to drive drunk or drive recklessly

I just wanted to add that I had an automobile accident on the expressway 2 years ago that convinced me of the danger of illegal aliens on the roadways of America. I am a careful driver and thank God was only going 45 mph. I did not see where the car came from that appeared in front of me from seemingly nowhere. It darted across my lane and when I tried to move into the middle lane of traffic the car pulled over and blocked that lane also. All I had time to do was slam on the brake. My van slid sideways into the car and on impact my left passenger tire exploded. I was driving an older Ford Aerostar van and the seatbelts were worn and lose so I was thrown into the stick shift which left its mark imprinted on my right leg for 6 months. I had hit my head, twisted my ankle and had contusions over most of my body. I was really lucky to be alive. The car I hit was full of Mexicans (six of them were crammed into the car). As soon as they saw that I could walk they got back in their car and left me bleeding on the pavement! They hit and run! The car behind me on the expressway pulled over to help me and told me that the car that hit me had come up the exit ramp and drove straight across all 3 lanes of the expressway! It would appear that they could not read English street signs or they could have been drunk (it was 4:30 am and the bars had just closed). My car was totaled and I have to pay for the repairs and hospital charges because I was driving my boyfriends vehicle and I was not authorized on the insurance. I don't think illegals have to worry about mandatory insurance, hospital bills or social security. Only American citizens are required to obey the law. Illegal aliens by definitiion are immune to the same rules we must play by. We pay taxes that support their free health care, protect them from discrimination and allow them to abuse the privileges of living in a free country. Responsibility is an inherent quality of being an American and it is about time that we made the immigrants entering our country illegally responsible for paying taxes, insurance and social security. If they really want to stay here they should have no problem with that...after all that is what Americans do. Americans are not allowed to have 3-4 families living in a 2 bedroom apartment so why do we allow immigrants to do that? Give me a break, I would gladly stop paying taxes and mandatory fees....maybe I will move to Mexico.

Hello Glenda, your story is all to familiar, im sorry this has happened to you, but you are absolutely right, there is a double standard going on here and you have personally paid the consequences.We are all paying the consequences in one way or the other if your a American.I think the only thing we can do is make our law enforcement accountable and the agencies who hire illegals. Another good way to protest is if you have any garden space, grow your own food, learn how to do things yourself instead of hiring some contactor who hires mexican nationals to do the labor.Call immigration whenever you see suspect activity.In years past immigrants from european or oriental countries had to cross overseas to get here, not a easy prospect. Now we have a thirld world nation literally on our doorstep crammed with millions of people trying and succeeding to acclimate themselves in the U.S. at evryone elses expense. The situation is ludicrous considering how little is done to protect our borders, this is tantamount to a foreign invasion.If a peaceable solution is not brought about, violence will be the only resolution.

O'Reilly is right we the people are tired of the crap that illegals get away with murder.Hang them high I'am so tired of the pollictally correctness by both sides the left for sure.If there illegal send them back if they cross with security in place shot to kill.One more thing if your born in the U.S by an illegal it does not make you a citizen.Get the hell out of our country.....................

A little radical there Clay, but you're points are well taken. A hell of a lot of us Americans are tired of the PC crap with illegal aliens.

It's amazing that Rosie O'Donnell can spew her nonsense as long as it's against America, but if Bill O'Reilly comes out in defense of America, he's labeled a racist. I understand his point completely. If this guy (an illegal alien) wasn't in this country those two girls wouldn't be dead! Now, I also wonder if the illegal alien was named William O'Rourke would Geraldo be so upset with Bill for insisting we need to crackdown on illegals in this country? I doubt it.
Posted by: Gialynn at April 9, 2007 8:51 PM
Gialynn has nailed it, and I was thinking the same thing myself when I watched Geraldo go radical when O'Reilly was telling him that he was condoning anarchy.
Geraldo has his own agenda, and unlike many legal immigrants that understand the damage being done to our country by it's "open door - come live off Americans" immigration policy, Geraldo has blinders on and is himself being the racist he accuses others of being.

I have always felt that Rivera feels GUILTY about being a rich Latino and so feels like he has to defend illegal aliens. I have lived in CA all my life and I'm so tired of the school systems being over run by the children of people who refuse to learn English and teach it to their children. I'm tired of wading through two sets of instructions on every form I have to fill out to find the English part. Why don't we just close the border and send the money we are paying to house, feed, cloth, educate and give medical care to these people to their government and let them take care of their own? I honestly think we could come out ahead if we did that....My husband and I have family members who have immigrated from France, Wales, Ireland, England, Canada, Spain and Germany and they all came LEGALLY.

I found a great perspective by a commenter at
The Hedgehog Report, apparently an immigrant him/herself:
Ramos - a criminal: an illegal (crime already) + killed 2 girls.
Juan Hernandez - tireless illegals' defender with an abominable insincere smile;
Geraldo Rivera - faking "fairness" 2nd Juan Hernandez;
Alberto Gonzales - AG who intentionally or unintentionally doesn't enforce immigration law, derelict in protecting our borders;
What is in common in those 4 names? Guess.
The difference between me and all mentioned above is that I would support ONLY legal immigration of my former compatriots and ONLY of those who are capable of positive contribution to this country.
In last 5 years, we have only 16% of European immigrants against 50% of illiterate so-called Latinos (what is in common with Latin besides broken Spanish?) who are filling up our streets with Communist red flags with sickles-and-hammers and portraits of Che Guevara. And our government, instead of teaching them our values and English as the only official language, is forcing all of us, starting from officials, to learn their language. Soon, we will be all forcibly speaking the Fidel's language. How "funny" it is!

O'Reilly is 100% RIGHT to question and blast any so-called "law enforcement" officials who know that someone is illegally in this country. Why should we, the American tax-payer, keep these officials in power when they can't enforce the laws that they are hired to do??? It's a s simple as that.
DEPORT these people who are here illegally. Whether someone has committed a crime or not, if they are here illegally, send them back. My grandparents came here from Europe and came through Ellis Island with proper documentation and went to WORK and contributed to the makings of this country. THEY DIDN'T GET ANY FREE PASSES! Nor did they DEMAND it.
What is the problem with those who think that they can come to a new country, not learn the language, and collect free healthcare and food stamps, etc.? I wouldn't be able to do that in any other country. Why should they? I've contributed into the system for 30 years, only to have my tax money go to these free loaders. Nobody paid my way through college. I worked FULL TIME while raising 2 children to get my degree. It took me 7 years to do it and it was very hard, but I did it.
Now, being laid off from work, I am not the right race that employers want to hire because of their "quotas".... Give me a break! I'm sick of this stuff. We are selling ourselves out as a country. It's time we stop sending funds to countries with underpriveledged people when we have our own under-priveledged right in our own back yard.
I'm tired of hearing about the rights these various groups should have when they take it away from us. I don't care what country you are from, what religion you practice or what color your skin is. Anyone who can contribute to society in a positive way and fulfills their obligations to make their community BETTER and free of hate and retaliation deserves a chance. BUT that includes everybody. Bot just whites, not just blacks and not just Latinos.... No more double standards!
DEPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. PERIOD. Let them come here, if they wish, but let them work for their freedom to be here. And every immigrant should be contributing to better this great country, instead of standing in line for a handout. And WHY in the world do they have a right to an opinion on how anything works in this country when MY RIGHTS aren't being taken into consideration????
Just once I'd like to go to a 7-11 and be able to communicate to the people who work there. Or speak to a customer service rep who is fluent in ENGLISH. Enough is enough!
