Islam Thriving on Chaos: On The Deteriorating Situation In Lebanon, And Other Musings On The Islamic Threat We Face.

When recently Hezbollah terrorists made an incursion into Israel, lay an ambush to an IDF patrol killing 7 Israeli soldiers and taking the two remaining survivors hostage, the Israelis retaliated to this unprovoked act of blatant aggression launched from Lebanese soil, with intense, yet precise, bombardment of all the extensive Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon and in the outskirts of Beirut. Hezbollah in turn showered thousands of Katyusha rockets upon innocent Israelis in villages and towns all over northern Israel, blatantly aiming them not at military targets, but at the Israeli civilian population.

Lebanese politicians, even though knowing full well that it was Hezbollah's inexcusable actions which had brought the wrath of the Israelis upon them, went out of their way to condemn the Israeli action, much as did the rest of the world, as a "disproportionate" reaction, even as the Hezbollah Katyushas showered death and destruction from the sky all over northern Israel. In the case of Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora, he even threatened to have those very same inept Lebanese Armed Forces, incapable of reigning-in rogue Hezbollah, join them in fighting back the Israeli forces.

Lack of backbone and mendacity within the Olmert government and in Washington prevailed, and soon a U.N. Peace resolution was being forced upon the Israelis before they had been able to weed-out the Hezbollah terrorists from southern Lebanon, in what then the twisted, perverted, perception of the "Elite" media and its allies, the Islamofacist Propaganda Machine, turned into a "Hezbollah Victory," for Hezbollah simply having survived the Israeli attacks, though pummeled.

So how amazingly ironic it is, that now, after the assassination last week of the young Minister of Industry, Pierre Gemayel, who was a Christian and a fierce opponent of Syrian intrusion in Lebanese affairs, Seniora, and those very same politicians of his tittering government, which so vehemently called for U.N. intervention, condemned Israel's actions, and hailed Hezbollah as "patriots" whom they would join in their fight against "bad old Israel," find themselves sequestered in fear of their lives, holed-up in a heavily fortified building in the center of Beirut, practically "incomunicado," hiding under their desks; lest Syrian backed Hezbollah assassins take them out one by one as if they were sitting ducks in a shooting gallery. Serves them right!

When you cuddle evil and accommodate it for political expediency, to avoid conflict, or even for the sake of altruistic "pacifist" considerations, it will inevitably come back and bite you in the arse! It is as immutable a law of the universe, as that other truistic axiom of "what goes up must come down" referring to the law of gravity! That is a lesson the world ought to have learned in Munich in 1938. Apparently it hasn't! Likewise, Clinton's failed 1994 North Korean diplomacy amply shows that being nice, making concessions, and giving tin-pot dictators and madmen autographed basketballs, are indeed very poor deterrents! Try and negotiate with Iran and Syria, and failure is not an option, but a necessity.

The solution to the Lebanese crisis laid in having left Israel finish the job, and accomplish its goal of weeding-out Hezbollah from Lebanese soil. Instead, a President Bush beleaguered by the "cut-and-run" defeatist Democrats, and an Ehud Olmert fighting half-heartedly, soon capitulated to the "politically correct" anti-Semitic opinions of the world, fueled by the extremely efficient Islamofacist propaganda machine, and let the incompetents at the United Nations take a handle of the situation - whose soldiers are afraid to leave their barracks in Lebanon at night, and won't patrol after dark, lest they be shot by Hezbollah sharp-shooters, while truckloads of new Katyusha rockets and other weaponry keeps being smuggled into Lebanon to re-supply Hezbollah from Syria, unimpeded, almost in plain sight.

For one thing the situation in Lebanon accentuates one thing: Radical Islam only thrives in such chaos and violence as we see day to day in Iraq, on the rise in Afghanistan, as we see in Gaza - where barely hours after a cease-fire agreement between the Palestinians and the Israelis, who for their part have kept their end of the bargain and withdrawn from Gaza, four Kazam rockets hit inside Israel. So much for working a "cease-fire" with the terrorists!

In the past, Lebanon has traditionally been considered one of the most affluent and cosmopolitan of Islamic nations. Beirut used to be hailed the "Paris of the Middle East." After decades of civil war brought about by the Islamist terrorists pawns of Syria and Iran, which devastated the once prosperous nation, the Seniora government offered a budding hope that Lebanon could once again regain its former status of old. Yet the Hezbollah Shi'ite cancer within it, not only provoked Israel, with the consequent considerable death and destruction wrought in retaliation by Israel, but is trying to nip that hope in the bud, and is now engaged in destabilizing the country, in toppling the Seniora government, has undertaken the sinister assassination of all those politicians who oppose Syrian involvement in Lebanon, and it's at the brink of pulling Lebanon into another bloody civil war.

And one is forced to ask: Is this "Peace Loving Islam"? Is this the so much touted "Religion of Peace"? A Religion which can only thrive amidst the hatred, the chaos, the violence, the murders, the bloodshed and the mayhem, as we see day to day?

Many Muslims may rightly claim that the Islamofacist terrorists do not reflect the true nature of the Islam they practice. Yet, where is there a demonstration by moderate Muslims, anywhere, condemning the beheadings, the suicide bombings, the daily diet of carnage and murder - the killing of innocent Muslims by Muslims!!! No such rally has ever taken place, that I know of; no such demonstrations condemning such bestial acts of savagery have been enacted anywhere. Yet thousands lined up the streets of Istanbul yesterday, in Turkey, in protest of Pope Benedict XVI's forthcoming visit, on account of being "offended" by the Holy Father having quoted academically the words of a long dead Byzantine Emperor, Manuel II Paleologos, which, when any reasonable human being is faced with that very same chaos and savagery in which Islam best thrives, prove to be all but too true, in spite of the intervening centuries:
