Mideast Youth English website celebrates six years this June.
From a single online forum, Mideast Youth has developed to a bi-lingual online network with tens of projects under its belt, tens of successful partnerships, nearly thousand members and subscribers, and thousands of supporters, readers and followers.
We’ve enhanced our message by written blogs, podcasts, short video films, animations, web, mobile and smartphone applications. We’ve advocated for prisoners of conscience, backed many of the regional bloggers and initiatives, supported different social projects online in the region and beyond.
“Since 2006, we have been creating platforms and web applications that amplify diverse voices of dissent with a specific focus on access to information, free speech and minority rights. Our sites are designed to be tools in the hands of those seeking social change, providing an outlet that bridges the gap between their voice and the world’s attention. Mideast Youth is dedicated to providing powerful content delivered with cutting edge and accessible design, making sure that the message of social change isn’t just told, but also heard.” – Esra’a Al-Shafei, MEY founder and director.
