Fewer Guns, More Crime In Britain
In the aftermath of the Virginia Tech murders and the almost inevitable talk about gun control, here's something to think about (Via Riehl World View): "On the heels of a 1996 school shooting in Britain, they enacted some of the toughest gun restrictions anywhere. British Olympic shooters can't even practice in Britain. However, gun violence in Britain has continued to increase year by year."

As somebody who lives in the UK, I am able to inform you that we don't have the gun problems that the US does. Yes it is true that there is gun crime, but it is not a big problem. There certainly hasn't been a school shooting here since the 1996 incident. Our laws would work if there was tougher border controls.

Thanks for your perspective, David. And I get your point about the need for tougher border controls - I assume you mean "immigration" controls.
