House Speaker John Boehner: "Tomorrow the House will pass legislation to make permanent tax relief for nearly every American -- 99.81% of the American people. Then the President will have a decision to make. He can call on the Senate Democrats to pass that bill or he can be responsible for the largest tax increase in American history."

irect rebuke to Obama's noon press conference in which he said he would not negotiate over any aspects of the fiscal cliff ... or the debt ceiling. Clearly, the ball is now in Obama's court to have the senate pass the House bill, negotiate outside his ideologically-based class warfare box, or, as Boehner aptly notes, be responsible for the largest tax increase in American history.

Nice to see Boehner show that he has some cojones. On the other hand, essentially nothing is being done about entitlements, over-the-top spending excesses, and the national debt ... all of which have us racing toward being in the same or worse shape as Greece.
