Not that it matters a whole lot, especially given it's his third endorsement, but Herman Cain has now endorsed Mitt Romney.
CNN reports:
Herman Cain, who suspended his own bid for the GOP presidential nomination amid a flurry of allegations of past sexual impropriety, backed Mitt Romney Wednesday - his third endorsement after dropping out of the race.
m privately and now I'm telling everyone publicly, if Mitt Romney wasn't your favorite candidate for the Republican nomination, get over it! We need unity to take back the White House, the Senate and keep control of the House of Representatives," Cain wrote in a statement.
The former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza, Cain also held an endorsement event in Washington, D.C., where he was flanked by Rep. Michele Bachmann, herself a former presidential candidate, and Rep. Steve King of Iowa.
In a veiled shot at President Barack Obama's explanation for his change in position of same-sex marriage, Cain explained his multiple previous endorsements as "my endorsement evolved."
While Cain's endorsement may not mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, he's spot-on about the need for unity in the GOP which indeed needs to take back the White House, the Senate and keep control of the House of Representatives. As Jim DeMint says in his book, "Now or Never: Saving America from Economic Collapse," Election 2012 just may be America's last chance to turn our country around, save our freedoms, and rescue America from economic armageddon.
Anyone that hasn't already recognized that America stands at a tipping point of becoming a nanny state, with the payers and producers being far outnumbered by the takers and receivers, ever-increasing (Obama-induced) class warfare and divisiveness, and an ever-increasing loss of liberty and freedom, just hasn't been paying attention.
