• Ener1, after receiving $118.5 million from DOE, filed for bankruptcy protection.
  
• Evergreen Solar, after receiving millions of dollars from the state of Massachusetts, filed for bankruptcy protection.
  
• SpectraWatt, backed by Intel and Goldman Sachs, filed for bankruptcy protection.
  
• Beacon Power, after receiving $43 million from DOE, filed for bankruptcy protection.
  
• Abound Solar, after receiving $400 million from DOE, filed for bankruptcy protection.
  
• Amonix, after receiving $5.9 million from DOE, filed for bankruptcy protection.

In a nutshell, if America is depending on "alternative-energy" to replace fossil fuels for its energy needs anytime in the near future ... we're in deep doo-doo. And that doesn't even begin to describe what Obama's wasting of taxpayer dollars is doing to our deficit.

There are very good reasons why , Spain, the model for Obama's clean-energy policies, announced on April 7, 2012 that they would halt all new renewable energy and co-generation projects (an examination of Europe's experience reveals these policies to be terribly economically counterproductive).

Too bad (for America) that Obama resides so far out on his ideological green planet of non-reality that he's incapable of learning from the same lessons Spain did.
